Welcome

Picture
Story has always played an important role in my life. As a kid, I was surrounded by yarnsters. While one uncle filled my head with ghostly tales, another wove stories riddled with humor.

Dad shared stories of his childhood and of WWII. It was through his reminiscing that I got to know my grandparents, witness his devotion for his brothers, and learn of family struggles during the Great Depression. And Mom, who left this world much too soon, sang sweet rhyming songs in Spanish and shared remnants of her youth, in Old Mexico, with her children.

My family never had much in the way of material possessions. But in reality they had much more. They were a hardworking, strong bunch steeped in their Catholic faith and rooted in rich traditions. At the end of the work day, when they gathered around the table they had one another, a good meal to share...and always more stories to tell.

As a writer, I feel it's now my turn and responsibility to keep story alive!

Thank you!
